At WEFTEC, HYMAX’s new VERSA Encapsulation was unveiled – the only encapsulation repair sleeve of its size to quickly and easily repair coupler leaks, as well as other similar applications. It can be wrapped around leaking joints connected to PVC and galvanized steel pipes while water pressure is lowered to avoid cutting pipe to make repairs, water shutdowns, boil water notifications and pipe dichlorination processes. Made from stainless steel, it allows dynamic deflection of the pipe for up to three degrees per side, reducing future pipe cracks and breaks. Comparatively lightweight with only two bolts to tighten for the 5.5” length and four bolts for the 11” length, HYMAX VERSA Encapsulation make repairs safer and faster with less time spent in the ditch.

One of HYMAX’s most innovative products, the HYMAX GRIP Cut-in Sleeve, is now available in sizes 3”, 10″ and 12”. The HYMAX GRIP Cut-in Sleeve is designed to connect valves and hydrants or existing lines with a mechanical joint connection. It is the first transition coupling that can connect to a mechanical joint while restraining the connecting plain pipe with only one bolt to tighten. The HYMAX GRIP technology allows the connecting plain-end pipe to be adjusted as needed, saving time on cutting and installing extra pipe. The HYMAX GRIP Cut-in Sleeve has a wide working range for connecting pipes of different diameters and replaces the need to use dedicated-sized transition couplings to help reduce inventory costs and save shelf-space.
