HYMAX large diameter couplings, used for pipe section replacement, are unique; and although there are other large-size products, there are still no comparable solutions in the industry:
- Wide Range: we have the only wide range product so there is no need to use a dedicated size. HLD’s are wide range couplings and have an exceptional range of up to 2.1″ this allows connecting pipes of different ODs and materials.
- Easier, safer and faster installation:
- Fewer bolts: HLD’s have only 4 bolts, all of which are top-facing. HYMAX Large Diameter requires much less time in the ditch, which translates into better safety for the operator, better installations and considerable savings in man hours for the water utility. There is no need to tighten more than 4 bolts with HYMAX.
- One-piece Design: The HYMAX one-piece, stab-on design allows for a faster and safer job. No more losing bolts in the mud!
- Dynamic deflection: HLD’s absorbs post-installation dynamic pipe deflection of up to 4° on each end, reducing the risk of damage and cracking due to ground shifts and temperature changes, and saving resources on constant future pipe repairs.
